Turkish-German University (TAU) in Istanbul offers a two-year master degree program in International Finance. The degree program is oriented towards working students looking to obtain essential skills and methods in the fields of international finance, investment and trade. Modern teaching methods make the program accessible to students holding day-time jobs. Teaching takes place either in evening classes taught on the TAU campus in Beykoz, Istanbul, or through ICT-based distance learning. Internships and optional study abroad (Germany or other EU countries) are available, in part with financial support from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

Cooperation

The master degree program is built on cooperation between the Turkish-German University its partners and stakeholders. The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) provides financial support, including excursions to, and study periods in, Germany. Lecturers include Turkish and German university professors and professionals from various parts of the finance industry. The degree program includes internships with local partners and stakeholders in Istanbul as well as internships in Germany and other EU countries.

Content

International Finance with a particular focus on applied finance. Modules on finance for investment, finance for trade, finance for investment and development. Interdisciplinary approach with particular attention to finance for social inclusion.

Teaching Mode & Concept

Evening classes and distance learning suitable for students with day-time jobs. Master degree program oriented towards working students, completely taught in English. Students obtain fundamental knowledge and skills in quantitative methods and techniques in the area of finance. Interdisciplinary cooperation with social sciences, in particular law and political science. Implementation of innovative teaching methods, in particular distance learning with information & communication technology.
